The client is a 5* luxury Hotel located in the heart of Kensington who are looking for an experienced Sous Chef with fine dining experience.


As Sous Chef you will be responsible for:

  • Management and organisation of the kitchen
  • Manage the evening service for the 2 Rosette restaurant
  • Heavily involved in menu development in collaboration with the Executive Chef
  • Expected to deputise in the absence of the Executive Chef


  • Experienced in a similar role or as a Junior Sous Chef in a large establishment
  • Experience in producing high quality food within a luxury environment
  • Able to work on own initiative
  • Proven record of high quality food production
  • Qualified to a minimum level of NVQ Level 3 or equivalent (or qualification by experience)
  • Intermediate/Advanced Food Hygiene qualification
  • Sound understanding of food costing and working to budgets

Ideal Candidate

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong people management skills, including delegating work, giving instruction, coaching and training
  • Ability to deliver results within agreed timescales and work within tight deadlines
  • Flexible approach to working hours in order to meet the requirements of the role
